Biography

Sarah has served as the AmeriCorps Project Manager at Communities In Schools of San Antonio for the past four and a half years. Previously, she worked in the field providing case management services to at-risk students in multiple Title 1 middle school and high schools in San Antonio. Her experience with AmeriCorps introduced her to the world of non-profits and ignited her desire to advocate for educational equity. However, it was her experience with her own Answering the Call cohort that led her to pursue her Master's degree in Education Policy and Leadership. Sarah enjoys creating brave spaces that facilitate growth for diverse participants and constantly challenging her own personal and professional growth.
