Fiona Rutagengwa
Program & Recruitment Manager
Fiona is the Program and Recruitment Manager at New Politics Leadership Academy. Her mission is to build effective and lasting strategies to manage short and long term programming, and to provide high-quality customer service to prospective participants, current participants, and alumni.
Prior to joining NPLA, Fiona spent a year with AmeriCorps VISTA serving as the development coordinator for MassNFCA, an organization committed to supporting those who have been affected by foster care. Later in 2018 she joined the staff of Rosie’s Place, the first ever shelter for poor and homeless women in the United States. As their volunteer coordinator she coordinated and managed a catering sponsorship program that cultivated support and funding for emergency and food programs.
Fiona holds a degree from the University of Notre Dame in Political Science and Peace Studies. She enjoys playing rugby and spending time with her family in New Hampshire. She currently resides in Boston, MA.
