Biography
Ashely Dickerson is a Program Director with the National Center for Youth Law, with the FosterEd Arizona initiative. Ashely has the privilege of leading an incredible team of Education Liaisons who passionately work alongside youth experiencing foster care to help them and their teams overcome educational obstacles. Ashely also focuses on deepening relationships with community and state-level organizations in an effort to transform systems impacting the lives of youth in care.

Improving educational outcomes for all students, along with civic engagement and advocacy are at the core of her efforts. Ashely is passionate about creating an equitable and just education system in the great state of Arizona, which has led her to serve four terms of AmeriCorps service with Public Allies, City Year, VISTA, and National service. Ashely is passionate about children, youth, and their families and has over 15 years experience serving as an elementary school teacher, coach, consultant and community leader.

Ashely is also dedicated to creating and sustaining a pipeline of elected women of color leaders in Arizona. She previously served as a campaign manager for several school board candidates, which resulted in campaign victories. Ashely’s commitment to civic engagement led her to participate in Answering the Call and later as a facilitator for ATC and Foundations.

Ashely is a proud Arizonan hailing from Glendale (Maryvale), Arizona, and has a deep commitment to her community. When she's not keeping Jamba Juice in business, she enjoys spending time at Mission Beach, reading, baking and reminiscing on the best 90s songs.
