Alumni Executive Council
The Alumni Executive Council is a subset of the Alumni Committee. This council is comprised of seven to 10 individuals, who have demonstrated a large commitment (i.e attending all former committee meetings, assisting in recruitment for programming) to NPLA and the larger alumni community. Each council member will serve a two-year term.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibility of the Alumni Executive Council is to assist NPLA in its continued efforts to grow and expand its alumni community. The council will be facilitated by Shaquanda Brown. We are asking members of the council to be responsible for the following:
Attend quarterly virtual meetings with others on the council. During the meeting, committee members will be provided with updates on alumni initiatives.
Assist in projects and next steps from the meetings which can range in the following:
Providing NPLA with a testimonial or video answering questions about the importance of organizations like NPLA and why folks should join our movement.
Assisting with programming - helping recruit for Answering the Call or Campaign Academy, or helping us brainstorm new initiatives, etc.
Creating a welcoming environment for ATC applicants by texting four or five applicants to provide them with an alumni contact for questions.
Provide a picture and biography to be posted on the NPLA alumni page.
Commit 10 hours per year to this group
